Users link accounts from platforms such as Uber, DoorDash and Instacart; Solo anonymizes and aggregates that data to provide city-level pay rates, hour-by-hour earnings predictions and dynamic earnings guarantees where the company makes up shortfalls. The product also offers planning and goal-setting features and uses community insights to power earnings predictions and income guarantees intended to reduce pay instability. A user quoted in the announcement said they began earning 30% more per hour after using Solo’s pay predictions and guarantees. Solo raised $5.3 million in a seed round led by Slow Ventures to fund ongoing development and go-to-market efforts. The company is led by co-founders Bryce Bennett and Keith Ng, who previously worked at Convoy and Uber, and is based in Seattle.
