Solo60
Pendragon House, 65 London Road, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 1LJ, England
Overview
Founded in 2019 by Ben Alderton, Solo60 builds and operates compact, technology-enabled micro-gyms that can be reserved by the hour via a mobile app and are also bookable through ClassPass. The company converts underused city spaces into design-forward private training studios used by personal trainers, everyday consumers, physiotherapists and content creators. Solo60 was founded from Alderton’s experience as a personal trainer facing high rents and restrictive gym contracts. As of the funding announcement, the network includes more than 20 bookable sites, with two additional London locations planned and a first outside-London site slated for Newbury. The company aims to scale to roughly 80 sites across London and to expand into international markets including Ireland, the DACH region, Stockholm and the United States.
