Solus Scientific is a Glasgow-based company commercializing novel intellectual property in microbiological testing. The company focuses on rapid detection of foodborne pathogens such as Salmonella and Listeria. Founded in 2009, Solus is developing a new range of products for the microbiological and food testing market. It plans to launch the first of that new product range for rapid detection of foodborne pathogens in Spring 2012. Solus raised funding to accelerate commercialization of its technology. The company is led by Executive Chairman Douglas Dundonald, CEO Ray Wakefield, and CSO Prof. William Stimson.
