SOMA Analytics offers a smartphone app that quantifies employee well-being using sensor-measured data such as sleep quality, emotion in voice and general self-reported well-being. The app provides personalised, evidence-based tips on sleep hygiene, happiness, mindfulness and productivity to strengthen emotional resilience. SOMA uses anonymised, real-time data analysis to help organisations reduce work-related stress and related costs such as absence and insurance claims, while improving morale, engagement and performance. The company targets mainly enterprise customers (including large employers) but can be used by a range of organisations. SOMA has worked with organisations across the EU and launched with a major professional services firm in the UK, Ireland and Italy to study cultural differences in stress. The startup is now based in London, maintains a second office in Munich and employs more than 10 people.
