Sommelier is a San Francisco–based developer of a decentralized, automated DeFi portfolio manager that functions as a co‑processor to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Founded in 2020 by Zaki Manian and a team of Ethereum and Cosmos developers and based in San Francisco, Sommelier was in testnet and actively seeking contributors. The company raised $3.5M in seed funding led by Standard Crypto with participation from Multicoin Capital, Alameda Ventures, Proper Cygni and Power Planet Holdings to support development. It plans to use the funds to build a multichain protocol and launch flagship DeFi applications in Q1 2021.
