Sora targets companies of roughly 100 employees and up, charges per employee managed with no limit on processes, and reported 7x customer growth and 8x revenue growth since its July 2020 seed round. The company noted it had around 2.5 years of runway last year, currently has 11 employees, and plans to double headcount in the next year. Sora raised a $14 million Series A to accelerate its financial and personnel growth after reaching product-market fit during early 2020 and a pandemic-driven inflection. CEO Laura Del Beccaro said the firm intends to scale thoughtfully while weighing broader employee-facing tooling even as it aims to become a "source of truth" for HR operations. Sora provides a low-code/no-code workflow builder for HR teams that connects disparate HR tools, lets users build template-driven workflows and triggers, and automates tasks such as onboarding follow-ups and manager-driven actions. The product emphasizes visual logic flows so non-developers can create automations without engineering support and can centralize HR data for reporting and further automations. Sora’s system also supports swapping providers to reduce migration risk and keep processes flexible as companies grow. The company landed Mixpanel as an early customer and expanded to more customers after launching earlier this year; customers sign one- to two-year contracts and Sora charges on a per-employee, per-month basis. The team has 11 employees today and the CEO says there are around 25 people on the cap table. With the newly announced capital, Sora reports roughly 2.5 years of runway.
