Its product allows recipients to donate to associations and is intended for international use, enabling spending in other countries. The startup charges client companies a subscription to access its platform and takes a 5% management fee when companies unlock funds to issue cards. Sorewards positions itself as an alternative to traditional gift-card models by avoiding commissions charged to small merchants and by operating like a bank account. The recent fundraising will be used to accelerate commercial efforts, broaden adoption among SMEs and CSEs, and enrich the platform with reporting to feed corporate CSR data.
