Soufflé Therapeutics is a Watertown, Massachusetts biotechnology company focused on creating siRNA medicines that precisely reach target cells using proprietary cell-specific ligands. Founded by Robert Langer alongside MIT scientists Daniel Anderson and Brad Pentelute and former Alnylam researcher Victor Kotelianski, the company aims to overcome the long-standing challenge of delivering genetic medicines to tissues beyond the liver. Its initial pipeline includes programs for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and phospholamban-related cardiomyopathies, both expected to enter clinical testing next year. Soufflé is also exploring applications in heart failure and metabolic disorders. The company has already assembled more than $3.5 billion in combined fundraising and strategic partnerships, signing alliances with AbbVie, Amgen, Bayer, and Novo Nordisk.
