Southie Autonomy
12 Channel Street Suite #202, Boston, Massachusetts, 02210, United States
Overview
Southie Autonomy develops a no-code AI and augmented-reality platform that programs robotic arms for packaging, kitting, and palletization. Its software creates turnkey cells that can be configured within minutes, operate safely alongside workers, and are compatible with any robotic hardware. The platform automates highly variable contract packaging activities—using AI/AR to pick objects of varying shapes and sizes—enabling daily line changeovers without coding or engineering expertise. Southie currently has deployments with a handful of customers and operates a robot-as-a-service (RaaS) business model. The company is based in the MassRobotics collaboration space in Boston and was founded in 2018 by Rahul Chipalkatty and Jay M. Wong. Proceeds from the recent financing will accelerate customer acquisition, build a distribution partner network, and scale commercial and technical teams.
