Sovereign Labs is developing an SDK and framework to enable secure, interoperable ZK-rollups across blockchains. The SDK is designed to help Rust (and eventually C++) developers use zero-knowledge technology without deep cryptography expertise. The company intends to provide frameworks rather than build rollups itself, enabling others to create and monetize rollup-based ecosystems. Its SDK framework will be open source, free, and the team says it will always remain so. Sovereign Labs raised $7.4 million in seed funding to support product development. The capital will be used to build the SDK and hire protocol engineers and researchers with blockchain and framework expertise. The founders expect SDKs like theirs to drive wider adoption and an explosion of ZK-rollups as scaling becomes essential for production applications.
