SP3H develops miniaturized optical sensors for fluid analysis, including on-board fuels, to enable fuel profiling. Its sensors identify a fuel's molecular structure and aim to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption while improving reliability, relevant to forthcoming EURO VI and EURO VI.2 standards. The company announced a €2.5 million financing round initiated by Truffle Capital and will use the funds to test a vehicle-embedded industrial sensor, market first systems for garages and car dealers, and structure strategic industrial alliances. SP3H has previously completed financing rounds of €1.5M (2007–2009), €2.5M (January 2010) and €2.2M (May 2012). The company consolidated its board with the arrivals of Peter Ward, Michel Eschalier and Jérôme Gallot; Peter Ward was appointed non-executive chairman on March 4, 2014. SP3H is based in Paris and Aix-en-Provence, France. In May 2012 SP3H raised €2.2m to continue implementing its strategy and roll out its development plan toward mass production of industrial systems scheduled for the end of 2014. Earlier equity funding included €1.5m between 2007–2009 from private investors and €2.5m in January 2010 with Truffle Capital.
