SpaceKnow is building an indexing artificial intelligence designed to scan, understand and describe the Earth’s surface using satellite imagery. Launched in 2013 by Pavel Machalek and based in San Francisco, the company measures and anticipates events by analyzing patterns in imagery data. It plans to use recent funding to further develop its software, increase hiring, and scale worldwide operations and sales in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
