Spacety
9 Avenue des Hauts-Fourneaux, Esch-sur-Alzette, LU, 4362, Luxembourg
Overview
Founded in 2016, Spacety manufactures satellite platforms and operates a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) remote sensing satellite constellation. Its technical team includes former employees of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and personnel from major state aerospace contractors CASC and CASIC. The company pursues a vertically integrated "build-manage-use" model covering satellite manufacturing and data services. Recent financing will fund scaling of manufacturing capacity, commercialization of its data services, and strengthening integration across its value chain. Spacety has been subject to U.S. Treasury Department sanctions in 2023 for allegedly providing SAR imagery to the Wagner Group, a factor noted as constraining access to international capital. The company also initiated an IPO process in January by signing a listing guidance agreement with a securities firm.
