SpaceView is a Portland-based, 3-year-old startup that provides an augmented-reality app using 3D technology to help people envision how new products fit in a room. The app lets salespeople and interior designers confirm room dimensions and exact spacing from a photo, choose items from a product catalog, and place 3D products on the floor or along walls. The product is designed to streamline the visual approval process for product placement. Founder Milos Jovanovic says the company's long-term vision is to create a platform for displaying 3D content across all hardware devices. SpaceView won $240,000 at the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s Angel Oregon Showcase, beating two other finalists. The win provides early-stage capital and visibility from OEN, which has invested $3 million in Oregon startups since 2005.
