Speech Graphics

Overview
Speech Graphics develops audio-based facial animation technology that maps nuances in voice performances to detailed models of the muscle systems involved in speech to automate highly accurate facial animation. Its tech enables virtual avatars to move in real time in conjunction with users and has been used across entertainment and gaming (first used in Shadow of Mordor and later in Gears of War 4 & 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil Village, and others). Accelerated growth driven by hybrid-working adoption prompted the company to create an enterprise-facing brand, Rapport, to address real-time, enterprise-level facial animation needs. Rapport aims to remove technical barriers for companies by providing browser rendering, low-latency streaming, backend scalability, and integrations for AI, text-to-speech, and automatic speech recognition. Features include easy avatar integration via a few lines of JavaScript and support for photoreal and stylized characters at scale. The company says the platform can scale to millions of users and supports a wide range of avatars from humans to anthropomorphic animals. Speech Graphics highlights applications across gaming, entertainment, metaverse, VR, AR, and brand representation.
