Speedb provides a drop-in replacement for the RocksDB embedded storage engine aimed at hyperscale data operations. Founded in November 2020 and led by CEO Adi Gelvan, the company is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Speedb raised $4M in funding from Hyperwise Ventures and intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach. The company announced a strategic alliance with Redis; Redis will offer Speedb's enterprise-grade data engine technology to its more than 8,000 customers. That offering is positioned as an option to support the largest deployments for Redis on Flash use cases.
