Spense provides a bank-native platform that connects core banking systems, deposit systems, and card management systems in real time to enable financial institutions to launch modern credit products faster. Its platform is powered by AI and uses agentic/autonomous agents to automate workflows for onboarding, servicing, collections, and customer support. This automation aims to handle operational complexity that has traditionally required large operations teams for secured credit products. Spense was co-founded in 2022 by Pawan Kumar and Srinivas Krishnamurthy. The company plans to use its seed funding to deepen banking partnerships, accelerate product development, expand engineering and go-to-market teams, and launch Credit Line on UPI (CLOU). The platform allows banks to offer secured credit products backed by customer assets without replacing existing technology stacks.
