Spiko

16 rue des Immeubles Industriels, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75011, France

Overview

Spiko provides tokenised fund infrastructure that enables overlooked small and medium-sized businesses to earn yield on idle cash by investing in short-term sovereign debt such as Treasury Bills. The company acts as a transfer agent on a blockchain ledger, removing legacy custodial middlemen to reduce costs and enable 24/7 cash-equivalent transfers worldwide. Its architecture also supports stablecoin flows so customers can fund with digital currency and withdraw in fiat, or vice versa. Spiko’s main funds hold Treasury Bills issued by major Eurozone governments or the US Treasury, assets the company positions as highly liquid and low-risk. In its first 12 months Spiko reached $400M in AUM and has processed more than $900M in working capital from over 1,000 businesses, with a projection to exceed $1B in AUM by year-end. The company has signed partnerships with Fygr and Memo Bank and plans to accelerate distribution and product expansion to tap large treasury-management channels over time. Spiko, co‑founded in 2023 by Paul‑Adrien Hyppolite and Antoine Michon, claims to be the first provider to offer fully tokenized Money Market Funds (MMFs). Its digital assets leverage Ethereum and Polygon blockchains and the company says tokenized shares of its MMFs (USTBL and EUTBL) are now available. The platform enables issuance, settlement, and custody of securities—starting with mutual fund (UCITS) shares—on blockchain rails, with 24/7 transferable shares and compatibility with standard Web3 wallets. Spiko reduces minimum investments for individual retail investors to $1,000 or €1,000 to broaden access to low‑risk MMFs. Shareholders of the funds can participate in governance and elect board members, and the funds are operated with third parties including CACEIS (custody and fund administration), Twenty‑First Capital (asset management) and PwC (audit). The company positions itself to lower costs and streamline capital markets infrastructure by migrating conventional assets onto distributed ledger technology.
