Overview

Spiro offers the first proactive relationship management platform, natively built on AI and natural language processing to combine traditional CRM, sales enablement, and telephony. Its AI engine eliminates manual data entry and proactively guides salespeople to the right actions; customers report collecting eight times more data, reaching 47% more prospects, and closing 20% more deals. In Q3 the company more than doubled its revenue and workforce year-to-date. Spiro finalized a $3 million seed funding round in Q3, bringing total funding to $8 million, and is using the capital to scale and invest in its AI/NLP technology. The company has opened a Singapore office to expand its presence in Southeast Asia and support its growing customer footprint. Adam Honig is CEO and cofounder. Spiro Technologies is an AI-powered CRM that reminds salespeople who to call, updates itself, and helps sales leaders drive more revenue. Launched in 2014 by CRM veterans Adam Honig, Andy Levi and Justin Kao, the Boston-based company offers full sales CRM functionality augmented with AI. Core features include Proactive Guidance to guide sales processes, a Built-in Assistant that creates contacts and reminders, and Deal Intelligence that highlights pipeline inconsistencies. The company completed a $1.5M Series Seed 2 round that brought total funding to more than $5M. Proceeds will be used to expand sales and marketing and to add new AI features to its products. Spiro also plans to double its Boston headcount over the next six months. Spiro Technologies offers an AI- and machine-learning-powered CRM that automatically creates, updates and manages sales professionals’ pipelines and advises sales leaders and representatives on activities to move deals. The platform has been deployed to more than 300,000 salespeople at roughly 500 companies, with customers including Fastenal, Kroff and TruPlace. Spiro reports that sales teams using its platform talk to 23% more customers and close 20% more sales on average. The company says it has grown from a personal sales assistant into a full sales CRM. With a fresh $3M investment, Spiro plans to expand its sales, marketing and product development teams and hire 10–12 people over the next year. Leadership says the longer-term objective is to grow the customer base and become a pillar of the Boston technology ecosystem. Spiro is a personal sales assistant app for quota-carrying salespeople, available free on the Apple App Store for iPhone users who use Salesforce. The app integrates with Salesforce, email and calendars and uses a custom-built machine-learning engine to proactively recommend whom to call, email or meet and to reduce CRM data entry by automatically syncing actions back to Salesforce. Multiple assistant personas and a simple, no-data-entry UX are designed to increase adoption among salespeople. In beta with more than 200 companies, Spiro users on average sold 11% more deals per month and increased average deal size by 18%. The founding team has previously developed and deployed technology solutions for more than 300,000 salespeople over the past ten years. Spiro closed $1.5 million in seed funding and plans to add support for additional CRM systems.
