Splacer
153 W 27th St Ste 700, New York City, New York, 10001, United States
Overview
Splacer operates a marketplace where users can list personal or commercial spaces and rent them for short-term events. Hosts set prices and renters can book spaces by the hour or by the day; Splacer curates which spaces are approved for its network. The platform also offers a network of service providers—from caterers to musicians and photographers—so users can plan an entire event through a single portal. Predominant use cases to date have been company off-sites, photo shoots, and art exhibitions rather than large parties. Founded in Tel Aviv by architects Lihi Gerstner and Adi Biran and launched in fall 2014, Splacer has over 100 spaces listed in Israel and launched a beta with 70 spaces in New York City. The company announced a $1.4M seed funding round led by Carmel Ventures.
