Splyt
9th Floor 107 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6DN, United Kingdom
Overview
Splyt builds a global mobility network that integrates ridehailing, airport transfers, bikesharing and scooters into partners’ travel platforms, wallets and superapps. Its technology enables users to access multiple mobility services from a single app, increasing convenience and partner customer loyalty. Splyt reports connections across a trusted mobility network in over 2,000 cities and 150 countries and operates with a staff of about 50, representing 17 nationalities and over 20 languages. With this financing it plans to expand its global network with additional mobility services, including bikesharing and scooters, and to accelerate international expansion. The company is headquartered in London and also operates out of Singapore. Splyt’s business model centers on deep integrations and partnerships with major platforms such as Alipay, Grab and Booking.com. Splyt is a four-year-old UK-based company that provides behind-the-scenes integration connecting ride-hailing services and third-party apps to enable cross-network booking and international roaming. Its platform lets apps such as Alipay and partners like Grab offer ride-booking without users having to download local ride-hailing apps. The integration is already live within Alipay for Southeast Asia and Grab's overseas rollout was scheduled for early 2020. Splyt has partnerships with Ctrip, Careem, Gett and Cartrawler, and its partner base gives it reach into roughly 2,000 cities. The company has opened an office in Singapore, expects Singapore headcount to reach 15 and overall headcount to grow to about 50 by year end, and says most of its business and partners are based in Asia. Since May Splyt reports growth doubling on a weekly basis in some areas and up to 90% repeat use through partners; the Series A funding will be used to close supply gaps and expand service usability.
