Spokn provides an app that lets companies deliver personalized internal podcast feeds for everything from daily standups and AMAs to training and development, all secured for internal use. The product includes push notifications, a streaming app, personalization features and analytics so employers can track engagement. Admins can tailor access lists for specific groups (execs, managers, sales, etc.), and the platform is positioned as an alternative to email and live video for asynchronous, background-friendly listening. Customers already using Spokn include Podium, ShipBob, Cedar, Mixpanel, ServiceNow and Superhuman. The company plans to expand podcasting beyond leaders to enable peer-to-peer stories and community building in hybrid workplaces, and to help customers use audio for recruiting and retention. Spokn was incorporated in April 2018 and its founders are Fawzy Abu Seif, Mariel Davis and Mohammad Galal Eldeen; the team participated in Y Combinator’s Winter 2021 batch and relocated to New York City in early 2020.
