Spoko is a Warsaw-based fintech specialising in instant international cash transfers delivered through a mobile app. The platform enables customers to send from 32 countries to 45 destination countries and offers commission-free transfers to Nigeria, Ukraine, Brazil, and Turkey. It seeks to differentiate on attractive exchange rates and transparent transaction costs. As of February the company reported 400,000 users. Spoko plans to use new financing to accelerate geographic expansion, partner with more local markets, and enable transfers via users' preferred payment methods. CEO Evgeny Chamtonau said the company aims to expand presence in markets where foreigners work and to change the money transfers market.
