Sporos Bioventures was formed to catalyze the development of therapies that target novel disease mechanisms in cancer and immune diseases. The company identifies novel mechanisms and strategically deploys talent, capital and operational resources across a diversified portfolio of four entities. Its pipeline includes multiple clinical-stage candidates being investigated for the treatment of cancer and immune disease. Sporos’ most advanced portfolio company, Tvardi, is developing small-molecule inhibitors of STAT3; early clinical studies of Tvardi’s lead asset, TTI-101, have shown tolerability and clinical activity across a broad range of tumors, including multiple durable responses. The company plans to use the new proceeds to support development of lead assets across its portfolio and to build out the team. The announcement also highlights senior leadership and advisory figures involved in Sporos’ founding team and governance.
