Sportlobster is a UK-based sports social network that provides fans with news, rumours, photos and videos, event scheduling, predictions and blogs. The site features contributions from figures such as Ballon d’Or winner Michael Owen, Sky Formula One presenter Natalie Pinkham, and former Manchester United footballer Terry Gibson. It was co-founded by CEO Andy Meikle and COO Arron Shepherd. The company currently employs nearly 20 programmers and marketing professionals and intends to hire additional staff. Sportlobster raised $1M in funding to support continued growth.
