Sportube operates a free web TV dedicated to volleyball, basketball, motorsports and other sports. The platform runs five streaming channels and includes an on-demand section available for iPhone, iPad and Android. It partners with several sports leagues including Lega Pallavolo Serie A1, Legadue, Aci/Csai, CIV and F1H2O. The company’s business model is based on selling pre-roll ads. Sportube intends to use the newly raised €500k to further develop the platform, hire new people and expand its marketing efforts. The company was founded by Bruno Stirparo and is based in Rome, Italy.
