Spotlime operates a newly released Android and iOS app that allows users to discover, book and obtain free access to selected events including concerts, discos and restaurants. The app is led by Francesco Rieppi and Francesco De Liva and is active in Rome and Milan, with a recent launch announced in Florence. The platform is currently used by 100k people and the company has a team of 10. Spotlime will use the new funding to expand operations into other cities nationwide and to hire additional staff. Financially, the company has raised over €800k in this round and €1m in total since founding. Spotlime is a mobile app that surfaces the 10 best daily events (concerts, clubs, sports, theatres and nightlife) 24–48 hours before start and lets users book in two taps with buy or reserve/pay-later options. Each user sees a personalized event list tailored to their interests, enabling rapid discovery even minutes before an event. The company lists more than 1,500 top-selected events and works with over 100 event organizers, including venues such as Teatro alla Scala, Blue Note and Just Cavalli. The team has nine employees and reported two-digit user growth since its May release. Financially, Spotlime recently raised €200k in angel funding to consolidate its presence in Milan and prepare national and international expansion. Product road map includes adding social features and positioning the app as a reference for international visitors during Milan Expo 2015.
