Overview

Sprinklr builds a customer experience management (CXM) platform by integrating roughly a dozen acquisitions into a rewritten, unified codebase. The company serves about 1,000 clients—some spending millions annually—and currently employs 1,900 people across 25 offices. CEO Ragy Thomas says the business expects to hit $400 million in annual recurring revenue by year’s end and views a $1 billion ARR target as realistic. Sprinklr plans to accelerate growth, pursue further innovation and potential M&A, and hire roughly 500 more employees over the next 12 months. The company has codified diversity and inclusion into its charter, which leadership cites as core to the “Sprinklr Way.” Sprinklr positions itself against large competitors such as Salesforce and Adobe and believes CXM represents a roughly $100 billion opportunity. Sprinklr offers a unified enterprise social platform that handles listening, planning, publishing, engagement, analytics, and front-office collaboration across marketing, customer care, and sales. The company serves more than 1,200 brands, including over half of the Fortune 50 and customers such as Nike, McDonald’s, Microsoft, P&G, and Samsung, operating in 150+ countries with more than 1,200 employees. In 2015 Sprinklr became one of the fastest enterprise SaaS companies to surpass $100 million in annual revenue. Over the last year the company expanded internationally to Brazil, Japan, and the UAE and added acquisitions such as Postano, Booshaka, and NewBrand to its platform. Sprinklr has formed strategic partnerships with SAP, IBM, Deloitte Digital, and Microsoft and has been recognized by Forrester in enterprise social listening and social relationship platform reports. Headquartered in New York City, Sprinklr positions its platform as the infrastructure for unifying the front office and delivering personalized customer experiences at scale. Sprinklr builds a social media management platform offering publishing, advertising, and analytics tools. It has launched Experience Cloud to connect those social tools with first‑party experiences like branded communities and forums on company websites. Experience Cloud includes drag‑and‑drop social widgets and dashboards that let brands view customer activity across touchpoints and import that data into sales databases. The company emphasizes connecting customer data across platforms to personalize on‑site content when users log in. Sprinklr has expanded through acquisitions, acquiring Branderati and making four other acquisitions in the past 12 months including Dachis Group, TBG, and Pluck. Financially, Sprinklr raised $46M in new funding at a valuation of more than $1B, bringing total funding to $123.5M. Sprinklr describes itself as the "largest independent social relationship platform provider" and offers tools to manage social interactions and campaigns. It launched its first paid social media solution to manage ad campaigns on Facebook and Twitter. The product lets customers plan, execute, and measure social media activity — ad-related or otherwise — in one product. Early testers reportedly saw a 25 percent increase in return on investment for their campaigns. General availability of the ad tools was scheduled for six weeks from the announcement. The company also announced a funding event and had acquired Dachis Group earlier that year. Sprinklr provides a cloud-based social relationship platform that enables large businesses to understand customers and build real, human relationships on social networking channels. Founded in 2009 by CEO Ragy Thomas and based in New York City, the company serves more than 350 enterprise brands, including Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, IHG, Hearst Digital and Virgin America. The platform is positioned for large-enterprise social engagement and customer understanding. Sprinklr recently closed a $17.5M Series C and had a related $15M funding item earlier in May 2013. The company intends to use the new proceeds to expand its business worldwide, including opening a UK office. Its customer roster and recent financings position it for international growth.
