Spyce operates a restaurant featuring a robotic kitchen that cooks complex meals to order. The company is led by CEO and cofounder Michael Farid and was founded by four MIT graduates who partnered with Michelin‑starred Chef Daniel Boulud for culinary direction. Spyce opened its first restaurant in Boston. It plans to use new funding to open a number of restaurants on the East Coast and to further develop its robotic culinary platform. The company expects to hire additional employees to roughly double in size over the next year. Financially, Spyce closed a $21M Series A financing.
