Squadrone System, founded in 2014, develops HEXO+, an autonomous flying camera that enables users to create cinematic aerial images via a self-flying drone and a smartphone app. The app contains a library of cinematic camera movements to automate complex shots. The company plans to use new funding to finance industrial development of the HEXO+ product and to execute its product roadmap. Proceeds will also be used to build teams across Europe and the US and to roll out a comprehensive product marketing strategy aimed at extending the product line to a broader spectrum of consumers. To date the company has raised $5M in investment, and previously closed a July 2014 Kickstarter that raised $1.3M from 2,300 backers.
