Stabyl
Newark, Delaware, United States, North America
Overview
Stabyl builds FX liquidity infrastructure using a central limit order book that automatically matches buy and sell orders to streamline cross-border settlement. The company positions itself as an infrastructure provider (not a consumer payments business) serving banks, payment firms and institutional clients. It initially targets the naira–dollar corridor, one of Africa's largest and most volatile FX routes, with plans to add more currency pairs over time. The platform supports settlement via conventional banking channels and digital assets, and integrates third-party wallet infrastructure. Stabyl aims to replace fragmented treasury operations and manual rate negotiations across multiple liquidity providers with automated matching and greater transparency. The startup plans to use its pre-seed proceeds to bolster compliance, obtain regulatory approvals, and build out its technology stack as Nigeria formalizes oversight of virtual assets.
