Stagee is an entertainment-focused social platform that helps entertainers reach new audiences and find professional opportunities. The Palo Alto, California company was founded in early 2011 and is led by CEO Lior Maimon and CTO Ofer Zelig; it recently launched an open alpha site. On user profiles, entertainers can upload videos, show reels, tracks, photo spreads and blog posts, manage social tools and build their audience. The platform also includes a points system that rewards users for views, votes and ratings. Stagee raised $330K in seed funding from angel investors and is currently seeking a second round of investment. The company says the funding will help continue development and release new features on the platform.
