Staige develops AI-powered cameras and software that autonomously record, stream and analyze sports footage, paired with an integrated coaching tool for immediate performance analysis. The technology is primarily used in amateur sports but is sport-agnostic and is also applied in churches and theatres. Staige operates a streaming portal, staige.tv, which hosts over 50,000 sporting and cultural events live and on-demand, with hundreds of events added every weekend. The company plans to use the new funding to expand across Europe and make amateur sports more accessible and affordable. The partnership with Borussia Dortmund is expected to inform product development through the club’s professional-player experience. Staige was founded in 2017 and is based in Essen and Duisburg.
