Stairs Financial offers an automated mortgage platform that connects first-time buyers with lenders and surfaces detailed down payment assistance (DPA) programs. The product provides a free mortgage comparison powered by Stairs’ database of homebuyer programs and mortgage products and tracks program changes, rates, eligibility updates and new launches. The company launched publicly after completing a $3.5 million seed funding round. Stairs is licensed in 40 states and plans to expand nationwide in early 2024. Leadership says the platform will also incorporate new lender programs aimed at closing the Black-White homeownership gap and improving equity and access for traditionally disadvantaged communities.
