Stampsy builds a touch-first publishing platform that lets users create magazine-style content — called "stamps" — using drag-and-drop tools on an iPad. The interface aims to make long-form online reading feel like a Sunday newspaper or coffee-table magazine and requires no programming or design training. Stampsy provides an API so third-party developers can create additional tools and plans a marketplace for those tools. The company said it would release its platform on iTunes in December and add new features and a marketplace the following year. Co-founders Roman Mazurenko and Sergey Gromov drew on prior editorial and digital-layout experience to shape the product vision. Stampsy has eight employees and has raised a seed round of $800,000.
