Standing Cloud is a Boulder, Colorado–based provider of cloud application management services and a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that supports multiple programming languages and cloud providers. Its Application Storefront offers cloud service providers instant access and support for nearly 100 open-source and commercial apps, pre-configured to run on any public cloud. The PaaS supports Rails, PHP, Java and Python and integrates with a wide range of orchestration systems. The company said it will use new funding to continue developing and deploying its cloud application management service and to expand the Application Storefront offering. Standing Cloud has raised an additional $3M in financing, bringing total funding since 2009 to $8M. The board was expanded with entrepreneur and TechStars mentor Will Herman joining existing directors from Foundry Group, Avalon Ventures and CEO David Jilk.
