555 Bryant Street Suite 120, Palo Alto, California, 94301, United States
Overview
Stardust provides a platform that enables players to buy nonfungible tokens (NFTs) in games using U.S. dollars, integrating fiat payments with blockchain-based asset authentication. The company powers 20 games in beta and offers institutional-grade security through an integration with Fireblocks, splitting and distributing private keys to protect in-game assets. Stardust supports sub-second transaction response times and aims to let developers implement NFTs in their games in about 15 minutes. It plans to add more games ahead of a November 1 launch and to help indie and traditional game developers build scalable in-game economies across multiple blockchains. The founder, Canaan Linder, started the company in 2018 and envisions enabling cross-game portability of player-owned items to help create a metaverse. The company has 15 employees, is hiring, and has raised $6.7 million to date.
