StarMobile offers a cloud-based enterprise mobility solution that dynamically converts packaged on-premise or cloud applications and custom systems into mobile applications, with centralized mobile app management, provisioning and usage statistics. The product supports any application, use case, mobile device and can run on public, private or enterprise cloud platforms, and is marketed to Global 2000 companies. The technology was conceived in the Georgia Tech Networking and Mobile Computing (GNAN) Research Laboratory and commercialized at the University Business Incubator VentureLab. Founded in 2012 and led by President and CEO Todd Fryburger and CTO Dr. Raghupathy Sivakumar, the company had been operating in stealth prior to this raise. StarMobile closed a $2.5M seed funding round and plans to use the proceeds to expand its engineering and sales teams and increase market awareness as it emerges from stealth.
