StarStreet operates a fantasy sports platform that lets users build stock market–style portfolios of athletes and now offers a new daily, head-to-head game for cash or free play. The platform provides a $100,000 fantasy budget for each contest, live real-time stat updates, and contests that range from free to $53 (to win $100). StarStreet charges commissions: 4% on the sell side of its original market game and 6–8% on the new daily game. To date the company reports about 1,000 registered users playing with real money. The company launched the new daily NBA-focused game and plans to expand into other sports, add mobile (mobile web then native app) and social integrations, friend invites, and larger tournament play. The daily game was developed in about a month and the team says additional features will roll out in roughly a month.
