Statesman Travel Group is an independent travel management company providing comprehensive services to blue chip corporate and private clients. It delivers global service through its partnership network Travel Solutions International (TSI), covering North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and the Southwest Pacific. The company serves public sector organisations and blue chip multi-nationals as well as SMEs in financial services, professional services, property and media. Established in 1975 and based in London, its management team includes joint managing directors Mervyn Williamson and Jon Langley, non-executive chairman Eric Brannan and Hogg Robinson. The recent financing will fund the strategic acquisition of Commodore Travel, a deal expected to create one of the top 10 UK travel management companies by transactional volume. Post-transaction projections anticipate revenues approaching £100m and a staff of approximately 150 employees.
