StatRad provides cloud-based software and platform solutions to ingest, view, share and store medical images, alongside award-winning teleradiology services. Its RadConnect cloud-based image sharing solution enables secure web-based exchange of images and reports for referring physicians, hospitals, patients and health systems. The company says it leverages about 20 years of teleradiology experience and is developing streaming technology to improve speed, scalability and security. Planned uses of recent funding include accelerating development of its imaging platform and additional applications for the medical imaging market. StatRad reports a 25 percent growth in its teleradiology services and states it will remain debt free following the investment. It also offers its software as a service (SaaS) and as a web-scale platform (PaaS) and says its platform can support other healthcare companies such as image analysis and medical device firms.
