StatusToday builds an AI-powered employee insights service that connects to tools like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace to analyze metadata and surface productivity, risk and behavior patterns. Founded in 2015 after graduating from Entrepreneur First, the company originally focused on cybersecurity but broadened its offering and launched a beta in the middle of last year. StatusToday runs 22 AI modules (multiple patent-pending) that create behavior models adapting to individuals, groups and companies, and it emphasizes collecting metadata and audit information without accessing content. Customers are typically in regulated industries, sectors with high-value employees or high turnover; the basic service is free and the company plans to charge for premium industry insights and action-oriented services in future. The platform is used to detect issues such as out-of-band cloud storage use, impersonation of senior management, benchmarking contractor performance, and hidden patterns of weekend work. StatusToday has 14 employees across London and Ukraine and says the new funding will be used to attract more companies, improve the AI, and expand its multinational team.
