SteadyServ Technologies, founded in February 2012 in Carmel, builds iKeg, a sensor-and-software system that reports remaining beer in metal kegs to mobile devices. The company spent its first 18 months refining the product and has been beta testing with customers and testers. SteadyServ expects a product rollout in the first quarter of next year and has received commitments from customers as large as Anheuser-Busch. The 12-employee firm expects to generate less than $100,000 in revenue outside of investments this year while it resolves product issues. Management plans to hire 75 to 100 people and target at least $25 million in annual sales within a couple of years. The company shifted its reporting metric to pints for server usability and is targeting distributors rather than many small bar/restaurant deals.
