Sterblue develops software that helps unmanned drones inspect power lines, wind turbines and other large-scale infrastructure. The company plans to use its recent funding to expand into the U.S., including opening an office in San Francisco. Sterblue was founded in 2016 by Jeffrey Vancassel, Nicolas Draber and Vincent Lecrubier, three aerospace engineers from Airbus. It currently operates in eight countries, including France, Germany, Portugal and Hong Kong. The startup attracted a $2M investment round from a group of strategic and venture investors. Deal details and terms were not disclosed in the reporting.
