Stimatix GI

17, Misgav, HaZafon, 2017900, Israel

Overview

Stimatix GI is a privately funded Israeli medical device company founded in 2009 and based in Misgav that develops continence solutions for stoma patients. Its lead product, the AOS-C1000 Colostomy Management System, is designed to allow individuals to discretely manage colostomies without wearing a traditional ostomy pouch. The device is intended to be non-surgical, simple to use, provide round-the-clock continence control and improve quality of life. The company says preclinical results represent a breakthrough in stoma treatment after more than five decades. Stimatix plans to begin First-in‑Man clinical trials as soon as possible and to follow the AOS-C1000 with the AOS-I1000 for ileostomates and the AOS-U1000 for urostomates. The worldwide ostomy population is estimated at 1.5 million people with $2 billion in associated expense, underscoring the market need. Stimatix operates within the Misgav Venture Accelerator.
