Stimdia Medical has developed the pdSTIM System, a neurostimulation device intended to strengthen and condition the diaphragm in patients on mechanical ventilation. The pdSTIM System is currently for investigational use only and is not for sale. The company completed a first-in-human clinical study with results published in Critical Care Medicine. Stimdia plans a pivotal FDA study to demonstrate safety, effectiveness, and earlier liberation from mechanical ventilation.
