Stir builds the Stir Kinetic Desk, a connected sit‑stand desk with a built‑in touchscreen, Bluetooth and WiFi that learns user habits and adjusts height automatically. The desk tracks calories burned and time spent sitting versus standing, and includes an Active Mode that prompts position changes and subtle one‑inch “Whisperbreath” movements. Users can also adjust height manually and the desk offers multiple ports for devices. Founder JP Labrosse is an ex‑Apple lead engineer on the iPod and has founded other companies with prior exits. Stir sold out its first production run at $4,000 per desk, with both individual customers and Fortune 100 companies piloting deployments. The company plans to use new funding to expand production, pursue retail distribution deals in the pipeline, and develop further functionality and integrations with wearables and other devices.
