Overview

StockRadars is a mobile service that lets users track and analyze public stocks and pay for ‘radars’—layers of intelligence that identify top-performing stocks and opportunities. The app, built by Siam Squared, has added real-time trading inside the app for the first time (currently limited to Thailand). It has simultaneously expanded its analytics service to eight new countries: China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, India and Singapore, with plans to roll real-time trading out to those markets. The company says the integrated live-trading feature completes its product from analysis to execution. StockRadars raised a new undisclosed round that TechCrunch understands to be $700,000 and previously raised $800,000 last year. The company describes the latest financing as a bridge toward a larger raise later this year and cites investor validation from prominent local traders. StockRadars, operated by parent SiamSquared, provides a free product for investing in public stocks with paid 'radars'—programmable layers of intelligence and analysis that alert users to opportunities and events. Radars cost from $0.99 up to $200 per year and can monitor specific stocks, investment types, or events such as company directors selling stock. The platform currently covers Thailand and Singapore and claims 150,000 users; it is available on iOS and Android with a web beta. SiamSquared has a partnership with AIS (owned by Singtel) that has included dedicated subscriber packages and marketing to increase reach. The company aims to become a personal investment assistant and plans to expand into Indonesia and, over time, Australia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Parent SiamSquared recently closed a Series A understood to be around $800,000 at an estimated $5–10 million valuation. StockRadars is about 18 months old.
