Storebox
Schönbrunner Straße 59-61, 4. Stock, Wien, 1050, Austria
Overview
Founded in 2016, Storebox operates a network of about 370 locations in 150 European cities, largely through a franchise system. Its business is split across self-storage, last-mile logistics, and click-and-collect services. The company has grown through significant past investment rounds and has been frequently labeled a "Soonicorn." Storebox has not yet achieved profitability at the group level, although its Austrian operations are already profitable. To drive group-wide profitability it is closing subsidiaries in Switzerland and the Netherlands, shifting those markets to franchise partners, and restructuring its German subsidiary via a Schutzschirmverfahren. The recent mid-seven-figure capital injection from existing shareholders, including the founders, is intended to strengthen the financial base and support organic, balanced growth during the restructuring.
