Overview

Storify offers a content curation platform that assembles Tweets, Facebook status updates, Flickr photos, YouTube videos and other social content into embeddable, real-time stories. Users can search and drag content into stories, publish via a single line of JavaScript, and readers can Tweet and share from Storify posts. Launched at TechCrunch Disrupt last fall and currently in private beta, Storify has signed partnerships with the Washington Post, Seattle Times, NPR and Al Jazeera. Since last fall partners have created 10,000 Storify stories that have attracted 4.5 million views. The company has integrations with blogging platforms Posterous and Tumblr and plans to open the platform to the public in the next few months. Storify raised $2 million in new funding from Khosla Ventures, which it says will be used to build new capabilities and publishing options. Co-founder Burt Herman, a former journalist, is leading product and strategy.
